Eastspring Investments, the $291bn asset management business of Prudential plc, has announced the appointment of Pierre-Julien (PJ) Jandrain as chief risk officer, effective 12 October 2026.
Based in Singapore, Jandrain (pictured) succeeds Terence Lim and will lead Eastspring’s risk, compliance and legal function. He will report to Rajeev Mittal, chief executive officer, and join the Eastspring Executive Management Committee.
Mittal said: “PJ’s appointment reflects the depth of talent we have at Eastspring and our commitment to developing leaders from within. He has played an important role in strengthening our investment risk capabilities, while bringing a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial judgement and leadership.”

Jandrain has two decades of experience across investment risk, portfolio construction and performance management. He joined Eastspring in 2022 as head of portfolio risk and was appointed head of investment risk & performance in 2025. Prior to Eastspring, he held investment risk leadership and portfolio risk roles at PIMCO, Invesco and Amundi.
The two companies will co-invest up to $2m per startup and give them access to Google’s AI models.
